Itinerary
Arrive to Cusco at any time. Reception at Cusco airport and Transfer to Royal Inca Hotel where they will welcome you with cups of coca leaf tea a traditional drink to minimize the effects of altitude, Relax, rest, and acclimatize. We advise you to get an early flight so you can spend your first 2 hours in Cusco seriously doing nothing but trying to breathe!!
At 1:40 pm you will get a City Tour, visiting Koricancha “The Sun Temple” the golden Inca temple that impressed the first Spanish conquistadores when they arrived in 1534, Saqsayhuaman Inca Complex, where every year in June in the winter solstice in this hemisphere the young Cuzqueños perform the old and traditional Feast of the Sun “Inti Raymi” in honor to the Sun, then we visit Tambo Machay, Qenqo, and Puca-Pucara. After this tour, if you are not exhausted you can go straight to the Cusco Folk Dances and Music at Cusco Art Center in the main Ave el Sol. which are included on your tourist ticket at 7.00 pm (10 min slow walk from your hotel.)
Around 7.40 am We are going to pick you up from your hotel. (Please don’t forget to bring your tourist ticket). We will travel over the mountains and then we drop 1500 feet to the valley floor of the sacred Urubamba River and the village of Pisac where we will visit the popular and traditional market and you can buy some local souvenirs.
We then drive up to the mountain to explore the extensive ruins of Pisac with stunning views over the valley. For those who would prefer to spend more time in the market instead of visiting the ruins, advise your guide so he can organize a time and place to pick you up when they return through the market.
We continue to Urubamba where we stop to enjoy a Buffer lunch which is included. A further 30-minute drive takes us to Ollantaytambo surrounded by the sacred mountains, where we will again discover the magnificence of the Incan constructions and the beauty of the local people in their traditional dress, the amazing temple of the Sun, enormous blocks of rock perfectly carved and polished, stone water fountains, stairs, terraces and the beauty of the local people in their traditional dress, all surrounded by the sacred mountains and Valley of Patacancha and Willoq.
On our return, we quickly visit the famous Chincheros Town, where you will understand the process of the weavings and in case you want you can buy some souvenirs that the local women sell there arriving in Cusco at about 6:00 pm 6.30 pm.
05:10 to 05:15 am We will pick you up from your accommodation and go to the Peru Rail train station to take the train at 05:40 am to the town of Aguas Calientes. The train ride consists of spectacular views of this wonderful land of the Incas, incredible landscapes of mountains and valleys, and Inca cultivation terraces in both. valley slopes, snow-capped peaks, and subtropical jungle near Ceja de Selva. From Pachar, the sacred Vilcanota River will be our companion until we reach Aguas Calientes (2040m) known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. When you get off the train, our staff will wait for you outside the train station, welcome you, and accompany you to the bus station to take the bus to Machupicchu, the trip lasts around 25 minutes.
Upon arrival, you and your tour guide will enter Machupicchu “The Old Sacred Mountain” for more than 2 hours visiting the main places and sectors such as the great Intiwatana, The Temple of the Sun, the urban sector, the agricultural sector, among others, where the last emperors, priests and priestesses took refuge and where the empire survived for 40 years after the arrival of the Spanish.

This exciting day tour begins so early in the morning, and please be ready in your accommodation from 04:20 to 04:40 am, we will pick you up from your hotel and then drive to Mollepata where you will enjoy the view of the mountains and we are going to stop for a delicious breakfast there you can get the opportunity to get the first pictures of your trip.
After breakfast, we will continue in the transportation to Soraypampa (3,900ml / 12,970 ft.) please where will begin the ascent to the Humantay Lake and will get the power of the beautiful glaciers that surround us. You will surely be impressed by their haunting, snowy faces that defy any force or evil, after listening to brief instructions from your tour guide, we will begin our 2 hours ascent.
One piece of advice is that you will be walking up through rocky and uneven terrain, so using walking sticks is going to be a great idea, please take your time and walk slowly, rest at the moment that you want to drink plenty of water remember that you will be in high elevation.
After the effort of hiking uphill, enjoyed with unbelievable reward. The stunning Humantay Lake with gradually unveil itself before you. This beautiful turquoise lake is nestled within a rocky terrain that originates from the melting snow that blankets the Humantay Glacier. will have time to walk around the surroundings of the lake get even a good view and get the best beautiful pictures to remember this memorable trip.
Then we are going to descent for around an hour and a half to return to Soraypampa there the transportation is waiting for us and back to Mollepata where we will wait for a tasty buffet lunch and finally board our transportation back to Cusco and will drop off you in the downtown of Cusco which is so close to your hotel arriving around 6:00 pm.
Note: During the ascent, you will have the opportunity to rent a horse that will serve as a backup in case of an emergency since the change in altitude is very sharp (The rental is negotiated directly with the resident and could cost between S/. 150.00 to S/. /.160.00 Peruvian currency).
We are going to begin early in the morning, and please be ready in your accommodation from 04:20 to 04:40 am, will pick you up from the hotel and then head to the south of Cusco for about 1 hour and 40 minutes from Cusco to Cusipata, where a delicious breakfast will be waiting for us. We can also take the opportunity to make last-minute purchases such as gloves, hats, chocolates, and sweets, which are necessary for this tour. After breakfast we will be transported for about 1 hour to the starting point for the ascent to the Colored Mountain called Phulawasipata (4600 masl). In this place, our guide will give us some recommendations before starting the hike. During the 2 hours (4 km) hike we will have the opportunity to observe beautiful landscapes such as gigantic mountains, glaciers, and colorful valleys with llamas and alpacas around. We will also have contact with the people of the communities and learn about their lifestyle and culture.
Around 10:00 am we will be arriving at the majestic Rainbow Mountain also called Vinicunca (5036 masl), where we will take a break of about 15 minutes while our guide gives us an explanation of the place at the same time we can enjoy the breathtaking views around, we will also have the opportunity to observe from very close the highest mountain in Cusco called Ausangate (6380 masl).
After that, we will have free time for about 45 minutes to explore on our own and take all the pictures we want of the imposing Rainbow Mountain. After visiting the Colored Mountain, we will descend for about 1.5 hours (Phulawasipata) where our mobility awaits us. After arriving at the parking lot we will return for about 1 hour to Cusipata again where we will have a delicious lunch for about 1 hour.
After lunch we will return to Cusco for 2 hours, arriving at the Plaza Regocijo which is just 1 min far away from your Hotel in Cusco the tour ends around 17:00 approx.
